The kiddos just can't get enough...

of the Lincoln Children's Zoo!

This past weekend the girlies were in heaven... Uncle Drew came to town to play with Travis in the annual Wistrom Foundation golf fundraiser, which meant that they got to play hookie from Little Kingdom on Friday and show him the zoo and they got to go back on Saturday with the Froeschl fam because Uncle Drew and Dad were golfing all day!

Sutton in particular is smitten with her Uncle Drew. Just ask her who she's going to marry. Nine times out of ten, she says Uncle Drew (the other time, she says Papa). So, she pretty much was glued to him if he was anywhere in her vicinity the entire weekend.

As a few of the pictures reveal, I believe a good time was had by all.

Spring Hiatus and Dancing Queens

So, in December I obviously had the best of intentions... more blog posts to come. Interestingly, December has turned to June. Holy moly, where did the spring go?! I've got a lot to catch up on i.e. a lot of pictures to download and stories to tell. Hopefully I'll get to it before next December.

Sutton had her first dance program through Dance, Dance, Dance a studio that comes in to Little Kingdom, a few weeks ago. Emme made her dance recital debut on the Lied Center stage Memorial weekend. Travis even got to be part of Emme's performance. The dance that Emme performed was "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" and the dads pulled each dancer out of a pot and carried them to their mark on the stage. Cute, cute, cute! Both girls (and their daddy) did awesome and were thrilled to have their own cheering sections of grandparents, Aunt Kelly, etc.

So, the only Antholz who didn't get to actually take the stage was me. Perhaps another year... there were actually a number of adult performances, so you never know :) I have to admit that getting Emme ready for her very first dance recital took me back to the wonderful memories that I have of my own dance recitals growing up. We even continued the tradition that my mom started when I was growing up... a special cake after the performance was over.
