Our Silly Sally literally danced down the stairs this morning and happily posed for pictures with Sutton, who did a little dancing herself. It made my heart happy to see the twinkle in her eyes and watch her put together her perfect silly outfit. My hope is that her confidence and individuality carries into her elementary, middle school, and high school. Heck, I hope it carries into the rest of her life!

Silly Sally Day
The letter of the week this week is "S." Emme was thrilled when her teacher, Ms. Cari, shared that Wednesday would be "Silly Day" and the kiddos could dress as silly as they wanted, do their hair as silly as they wanted and just be as silly as they wanted. So Tuesday night we started talking about how Emme wanted to express her silliness today. She knew immediately that she wanted to wear her go to dance costume with her pink boots and put six ponies in her hair. The pink and gray leggings were a last minute addition.

Sunday = Fun Day
Goodbye Summer... Hello Huskers!
Saturday marked the season opener for the Big Red! Daddy and Emme enjoyed all the game day fun at the stadium, while Mommy and Sutton enjoyed it from the couch in the company of good friends Megan and Miss Harper. Emme insisted that she and Travis stay until the very end and according to all reports, loved every minute of it! Regardless of where we sat and how long we actually watched the game (Sutton and I only made it through half-time :)), we all donned our red and have some pics to prove it.

Fishy Fun
One of the fun things in our backyard at the new house is a lovely little pond. We've added a little life to the pond in the form of ten small fish. We had Pink Baby, Monkey, Poplar, Morrow, George Brett, Pinky Dinky Doo, Mommy, Daddy, Emme and Sutton. I'm sure you're shocked to find out that Emme came up with the majority of their names and also shocked to find out that we've only actually lost one so far!
Sutton is the kiddo most interested in the fish. Every morning and evening, she makes sure to spend a little time oohing and ahhing over them after feeding time.
