Girls Night Out turned Date Night

For months I've been looking forward to the Elton John and Billy Joel concert in Omaha with my good friend Kim. It was a toss up whether we were more excited to see the concert, get together for girls night out or imagine how things were going with the daddies and the five kiddos having their own party at home!?! Unfortunately (or fortunately for Travis), at the eleventh hour our girls night turned to date night when Kim had some major tooth issues.

So, girls night out turned into date night... the concert was AMAZING!

Mama's Day 2009

UNL graduation weekend meant a bit of work for Mama this Mother's Day weekend, but we still managed to relax and have some fun. After my work was done on Saturday afternoon, we loaded up the girls in the bike trailers and headed out on a LONG bike ride with a stop at the park where we got some fun pics. Sunday the girls and dad surprised me with donuts and flowers before a fun lunch at Hillcrest. The theme--pink! Apparently, Emme was adamant that the flowers and vase be nothing but pink. Pink they were! The donuts were also very pink :)

As always, I was tickled pink and felt so blessed to spend quality time with my babies and their daddy this Mother's Day weekend... the fact that Miss Emme decided to do the dishes this evening was icing on the cake!

Big, Huge Hawaiian Fun

It's been a few days and we're still basking in the glow of our big, huge Hawaiian adventure. We swam. We sunned. We ate. We drank. We sailed. We snorkled. We surfed. We napped. We swam. We saw the beautiful sights of Kauai. We enjoyed lots of family time. We relaxed. I could go on and on, but perhaps I should just get to it. I promised tidbits and photos, so here goes...

Many Mahalos for Big, Huge Hawaiian Fun

We're back from a week in paradise. We heart Kauai! Emme Jules summed it up best when she suggested, "We should move our house to Hawaii... We would have big, huge fun all the time!" Amen, sista!

We're too tired to post much tonight. Stay tuned for more tidbits and photos from our Hawaiian adventures.
